Introduction of the program Jon In Working

All the major industries of the world are currently dealing with the devastating effects of COVID 19 (or the coronavirus). From manufacturing to marketing, 2020 has seen shifts in the way businesses and organizations operate in the wake of the deadly virus. With government restrictions in place and the shutdown of non-essential services, many companies and businesses have shifted towards remote working to ensure that the coronavirus doesn't spread within their organization and continue operations as usual. Still, many organizations are unprepared for remote working and are too focused on finding collaboration tools instead of training people on how to work from home and encourage a continues winning momentum.

This has been greatly affecting the workers in organization too. To try to give more flexibility to workers, companies are increasingly allowing their employees to work from home. In addition to improving work-life balance, working from home may reduce companies rent costs and employee turnover and also benefit communities by lowering commuter congestion and emissions. Despite its potential benefits, many companies have been slow to adopt the practice because they are ensure how it will impact the productivity of workers. Employees working from home may find it easier to focus in  quieter environment and may miss less work if they schedule personal activities, like doctor's appointments, in the time they save by not commuting. On the other hand, the lack of supervision may allow workers to multitask by watching TV or playing computer games, and thus reduce the quality of their work. Working from home had a negative effect on promotion opportunities. Conditional on performance, employees working from home were less likely to be promoted than their office based peers. This was likely due to reduced training opportunities and less face to face contact with team leaders.

Even as COVID 19 stay at home orders are lifted and states begin to reopen businesses, many office workers are still doing their jobs remotely. And they are tired. One reason some people are tired is because they are working more, that employees feel the pressure to show productivity when they are working from home, so that may encourage them to work extra hours. In addition, it is just so easy the work is right there and it can be hard to set boundaries when you live where you work. Plus, the distractions and cause work and life to blend more than they should.

FINA company decided to overcome the situation and help those employees who has lost their spirit in working or the ones who is currently having a hard time to soothe themselves during lockdown and while practicing social distancing and find heather way to deal with losing hope and feeling of despair. The Human Resource Department has planned a program called 'Joy In Working' which will be held on the platform Google Meet involving employees FINA company along with special guests to share a little and share their experiences and hopefully with this approach the company can produce employees who are enthusiastic in achieving harmony in the work. Not only that, with the hope that this program can bring a ray of hope in order to lead towards a happy work environment and relationships among employees.
